Copyright and DMCA

LensEra respects the intellectual property of authors, artists, and content creators. We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and other applicable copyright laws. We expect the same from our users.

1. Infringement Notification Policy

If you are a copyright owner or their agent and believe that any content on LensEra infringes your copyrights, you may submit a notification pursuant to the DMCA. The notification must contain the following information:

  • A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
  • Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing (specific URL of the video or channel) so that we can locate it.
  • Your contact information: address, telephone number, and email address.
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner.

2. Counter-Notification

If you believe that your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notification. It must include:

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the material that has been removed and the location (URL) where it appeared before removal.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed by mistake.
  • Your name, address, and telephone number, and consent to the jurisdiction of the court.

3. Repeat Infringer Policy

LensEra maintains a strict policy regarding users who repeatedly infringe copyrights. In accordance with the law, we reserve the right to block or delete the accounts of users who are determined to be "repeat infringers".

This usually occurs upon receiving three confirmed strikes (warnings) for copyright infringement within a certain period.

4. Fair Use Principles

We recognize the importance of Fair Use principles. In some cases, using copyrighted material for purposes of criticism, commentary, news reporting, teaching, or research may not constitute an infringement.

However, LensEra is not a court and cannot resolve legal disputes. If you are unsure whether your use falls under Fair Use, we recommend consulting a lawyer before uploading the content.
